If your well doesn’t produce as much water as it used to, there could be several reasons for this. One possibility is that the pathway for water flow into the well has become reduced due to mineral deposits, siltation, or bacterial growth. Another reason could be that the screen of your well has become plugged, possibly due to sediment or other debris. Additionally, the chemistry of the water may have caused scale buildup on the inside of the drop pipe, which can restrict the flow of water.

The first step is to determine the cause of the declining water supply. A professional well contractor can assess the well and recommend appropriate measures, which may include well rehabilitation, drilling a new well, or implementing maintenance practices to improve well yield and prolong its lifespan. The appropriate remedy depends on the specific situation.

Remember to consult with professionals who have expertise in well maintenance and construction to ensure the best course of action for your specific situation.
